Tax Money used to Lobby

Well, gee, you mean that's not how it's supposed to work? It seems the UNC-Chapel Hill (Berkeley East) gave nearly half a million dollars in the 2004 election cycle and appears to have given even more in this past election cycle. And where do you suppose that money came from? How many donations to this PAC come from people employed by government -- and therefore paid by tax dollars from those who actually work?

What do you suppose the chances are of their $2.6 billion budget request passing the legislature, now that they've sent bribes to the tune of a half million dollars to the legislature?

Want to fix the corruption? It's incredibly simple: get government OUT of the education business. They're horrible at it, and it just makes corruption even easier.
