NC Democrat "Success"
Want to know how the Democrats of North Carolina spell success? M-O-N-E-Y. Don't believe me? How about in their own words? Here's NC Senator Kay Hagan (Democrat):
We [Democrats] have also led the way in education. From 1994-2004, North Carolina was among the top states in raising teacher pay; this year we've proposed an additional 8 percent raise to help recruit and retain the best educators. Our education lottery will generate more than $400 million a year to reduce class sizes and increase college scholarships.
So literally, Democrats in North Carolina define "successful" as spending more money. Note there is nothing in that quote about anything to do with educating -- just spending more. If you hate having your own money, keep voting Democrat.

YOu know, I've tried to comment for awhile from my cell but I'm unable to do so. While I was on Vacation in FLa I fell in love with the south all over again.
Then I visit you and my love for the south is tempered by the sad realism of what I read on your blog. I've always loved NC, especially Charlotte & Raleigh, but with what happened this week there and these types of politicians I think I'd rather look into WV or Virgina.
That is, unless the conservatives do manage to get and retain control of the GA over the next few years.

It's funny, though, since despite all their spending the quality of education is going down in NC. I assume that most of the money is going to the cost of buses to move kids from one side of town to another. Heck, in Raleigh, 10,000 students were moved to different schools.

The people and weather in NC are nice. The politics run by Democrats, are NOT nice. Sorry, Michele.
And Teach, why do you think quality of education has anything to do with success? Educating people has absolutely nothing to do with the government-run education system. Nothing. Understand that and everything will make perfect sense.
