Government Needs MORE Control

So says the Charlotte Observer. Yes, the socialist paper of record in North Carolina has weighed in once again to support the idea that all the subjects of North Carolina are stupid idiot morons who cannot even wipe their own bottoms and will all die without the government doing everything for them.

This time, they're supporting Jim Black's bill that was designed to put cash in the pockets of his contributors (and his pockets) by forcing ALL wards of the state children to have an officially sanctioned, state-sponsored (and paid-for) eye exam before being permitted to enter a school building (while at the same time being forced by law to enter the aforementioned buildings).

So yes, that law that did not pass last year because it was a clear an obvious attempt by Jim Black to payback his supporters, would require children to get an eye exam or they're not allowed in school -- which they are required by law to attend.

But no matter, and likely because of that provision, the Observer strongly supports the law. After all, if people don't like it, the state can just swoop in and take the children and make the official wards of the state if anyone dares to disobey them -- and that's why the Observer so strongly supports that law. Keep in mind if you read the Observer -- their position is socialist -- they always support anything that expands the state and the state's power. Always.
