NC To Consider Busing...Criminals

While Mayor Nagin left his school buses unused during Hurricane Katrina, Senator Forrester of North Carolina has proposed that North Carolina make use of school buses -- to bus criminal aliens (illegal immigrants) back to Mexico. What a concept.

Well, they're only trying to form a study committee to determine the cost and feasibility of using buses this way, and since it was proposed by a Republican, it's highly unlikely to make any progress in the Democrat-controlled North Carolina Senate. But the supporters of criminals are outraged.

They fall back on the old argument that it's a federal issue, etc. One supporter of the criminals said that he encourages the Legislature to completely and totally ignore all immigration laws and accept all criminal aliens as full citizens in the state. Once again, Saddam Hussein, come to North Carolina, you'll be welcome here and allowed to vote any time you want.

I like the reaction of Bill Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration:

"Why do we need to study it? Can’t we just go ahead and fund that?”

Sorry, Mr. Gheen, there will be nothing done to any criminal aliens in North Carolina as long as the Democrats are in charge.

1 You are correct. The Democrats must be taken out of the majority in the NC House and Senate if there is to be any real effort to control illegal immigration in North Carolina.

The Democrats have stopped all bills that the public would like on this issue because the Republicans have called for enforcement.

Let's hope and work hard to make sure 2006 brings the needed political changes to Raleigh.

2 It is certainly an uphill battle -- against gerrymandering, mostly.

But yes, I'll continue to fight and encourage others to. Thank you very much for stopping by!
