NC Disagrees with Bush
The debate continues on the continued criminal invasion of America by Mexico. It turns out that the US Senate and Bush are in disagreement with the voters of North Carolina. A new poll of voters in North Carolina shows that 77% of voters want the military to patrol the US-Mexico border to stop the flow of illegals into the U.S.
President Bush wants no such thing. Keep in mind, his recent proposal of sending a couple national guardsmen to the border is only for logistical support -- they would not actually do ANY enforcement. In other words, they could drive a truck for the border patrol and bring them some water, but that's about it. 70% of NC Democrat voters and 86% of NC Republican voters all want the border militarized. If these numbers remain, the next president may be someone who supports borders -- not a Republican or Democrat.

Unfortunately, Bush seems to be in disagreement with many sane people on this immigration issue. I'm still not sure what the correct response to this problem is, but I don't think that the President's solution is good enough. Border enforcement should come before any possible "path to citizenship", "amnesty" or whatever you want to call it. It's puzzling to me why Bush can't see where the rest of the country on this.

I'm with you, Prying1, build a wall on the whole damn border.
Burt, Graham is a leftie on this one. He votes with the Democrats more than Republicans, without a doubt.
And Lisa, I don't know what he's thinking. I don't know if Fox has something on him or what. Today he's going to Arizona -- I think he's going to give water to illegals who are crossing the border and help them find jobs.
