NC Bill to fight Criminals?
A Senator in North Carolina has introduced a bill that would attempt to crack down on criminal alien invaders, formerly known as illegal immigrants, also incorrectly referred to as "undocumented immigrants." Over 80% of citizens of the state support this sort of action against illegal aliens.
All the bill would do is require the state, before hiring someone, use a FREE federal program to check nationwide immigration and social security databases to ensure the person is legal. Contractors who work on state projects would also be required to actually follow the law that's currently in place -- they would have to certify that their employees are legally permitted to work in the country. However, the bill was introduced by a Republican. In the Democrat-controlled North Carolina Legislature, very few bills introduced by Republicans ever see the light of day. I look for this one to be buried in the appropriations or rules committee. If it does manage to pass, don't look for it to have any effect, anyway. In order for it to work, the state government would have to actually investigate to see if any contractors lied when certifying that their employees were legal. There are already laws on the books in North Carolina to fine any employee who hires criminal invaders -- but the law is NEVER enforced. Has anyone seen my country?
