Duke "Rape" Case
After the massive, nationwide attention for the alleged rape by the Duke Lacrosse players, you might have noticed a sudden lack of attention to the case. For about a week, every single day had "new" news and commentary about the case. The entire country watched and talked about the case. Then suddenly, there was nothing.
What you may not have known that the point in time where all news about the case stopped was right after the current D.A. who is prosecuting the case won his primary election. With no one filed against him, that ensured his re-election. Once he won, there was no need to make headlines and news, so he stopped. But now, after the first DNA test cleared all the players, there's been a second which also cleared the players. The accuser had sex that night, but not with anyone on the Duke Lacrosse team -- with her boyfriend. So it's looking more and more like one woman has destroyed a number of people's lives, tarnished Duke, destroyed the Lacrosse team, and caused an untold amount of trouble -- due to her lies. I'm betting if the D.A. wasn't running for election, no one would have ever heard of this story and no one would have been arrested. Perhaps it's the D.A. who should be charged with a crime.

It really pisses me off when women do these things.
It takes away the seriousness of real rape victims (and there are some)...women like her should be charged with crimes and held accountable in a real manner.
As for the DA, ditto. Using the false "plights" of another person is unethical and just wrong. Like you said too many lives have been ruined now.

That is just the way the media does things, play it up big until the "accused" is cleared then you never hear of the case again.

I'll say it now, does anyone think that the accuser might have been just looking for some money by accusing "white, rich boys"?

The details on this case are getting worse and worse. Defendents and lawyers are trying to provide evidence to the DA, but he is absolutely refusing to even VIEW the evidence -- he's clearly NOT interested in whether this crime even happened.

1. One of the accused was convicted of assault in DC.
2. Obviously you know nothing of rape cases - in 70% of rape cases, there isn't sufficient DNA evidence.
There are many things you're right about, but on this one, you come off as just another nutjob believing that women are just out to hurt men in criminal rape cases.
Come on Ogre, get a clue.
