1 I received a mailer from the Brawley campaign stating his values and positions, and they are strong conservative values that I can support. So I must ask, "WHAT IS RAY'S PLATFORM?" and "FOR WHAT DOES RAY STAND?" She has no website that I can find, she did not attend the debate, she has not communicated voting history to her constituents, and she has not sent any mailers about herself.

According to the Iredell County Republican Party's website, it promotes "good politics and conservative principals." Prior to last week, I would suggest that the Party persuade Ray to act like a Republican and stand for something! The Party owes its members the ability to make an educated decision.

Last Friday I received two advertisements from the Ray campaign that simply attacked Brawley without assuming responsibility for her accusations (she hid behind others' quotes like liberal newspapers). Clearly, the accusations are unfounded or taken out of context. Nevertheless, they will have significant negative impact. To make matters worse, it is not possible for Ray to effectively neutralize her wrongdoing before the election.

I stronly feel that our Party has no room for shameless cannibalism any more than it does a RINO (Republican In Name Only) candidate. If you too believe that our politicians should stand for something, I urge you call the Iredell County Republican Chairman, and ask him what the members can expect from the Party on this mater?

2 I have seen 6 or 7 mailings from Ray's campaign. All but ONE were simply attacking the Brawley campaign. The only one that didn't said that Ray supported being tough on crime -- as if there's anyone who isn't.

3 Uh Mr. Hunter, I think you should research your comments prior to arguing your point. As a matter of fact, those were Robert Brawleys quotes if you read the papers. This is why they have quotation marks around them. The papers can put their spin on it but they do not change an exact quote coming for Robert Brawley's mouth.

I do not believe anyone had to hide behind anything. And also, I do believe Mr. Brawley is getting a dose of his own medicine. He insinuated things about Mrs. Ray without any quotes to back it up so at least she had something to back-up her accusations. And that something to back it up was Robert's mouth.

4 And Will, she did send out mailers about herself and what she stands for, maybe you got them, maybe you didn't, but my guess is that you did and you are just mouthing off so you can have something to talk about. There were also tv ads about her. But what did you think she would do, sit back and let Robert punch on her without fighting back? That is just not human nature to not fight back.

I guess everyone has noticed the commercials where Karen Ray accuses Robert Brawley of voting for Jim Black.
Here is the role call vote from 1997 proving Robert Brawley did not vote for Jim Black. He voted for Republican Brubaker.

Another interesting tidbit. Karen Ray did the very thing she is falsly accusing Mr. Brawley of doing. In 2004 HR 1 she voted for Jim Black as speaker of the house. Ironic isn't it.

7 Anonymous, I usually leave the comments open for everyone at all times. You're just going beyond the pale here, insulting and attacking people just because they don't like your position. Fortunately for you, the election is just a couple days away, so hopefully you'll stop.
