Sad Attempt at Humor

Kender sends along this story by David Bresahan about immigration. It's meant as a humor piece, but it's incredibly sad. It describes a letter to Bush from Mr. Bresahan where he proposes a trip to Mexico and he wants Bush to ask Vicente Fox (president of Mexico) for a few things like

English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.

After reading it, you realize that it's quite insane to ask all those things. Then, if you think about it, you realize that's what the Mexican invaders are asking DEMANDING from the U.S. -- and Bush supports them.

I think our government has already surrendered.

1 There is nothing humorous about the state of our nation, as far as this immigration issue goes.

U.S. policies and practices are worse than silly--they are ruining our country.

2 That's why I thought it was a sad attempt -- it tried to be humorous, but was too realistic on an issue that has potential to cause pain and death.

Thanks for stopping by!
