Kinky for Governor!
If you're a Texas resident (or if you can vote in Texas), be sure to check out Kinky Friedman. No, really! That's the guys' name. And he's running for governor of Texas -- as an independent.
I know that Texas hasn't elected an independent since their first governor, and I don't even know a lot of the policies of this guy -- but any time someone other than a Republicrat or Democan runs, I'm supporting them. Way too often these days, there's no difference between Republicans and Democrats. Vote Kinky!

I love him. Heard him on the radio discussing his ideas. He is a little out there with some of them and with others, dead on!

I'm not sure what planet you've been on, but there has never, ever been more difference between republicans and democrats than there is right now.

Care to list any differences? I guess abortion would be one, and maybe the second amendment, but that's about it -- they both support larger government, more regulation, and higher taxes...

As a Texan of advanced age I have known of and followed the career of Kinky for forty five (Yes he has been in one spot light or another for 45+ years) I don't think he will be our gov. Too bad, he would be just what Texas needs to keep from drowning in our own version of cultural diversity.
