Send Cash -- Party Struggling
Can someone please explain why we're sending Billions of dollars to these people? Clearly they're not struggling. If these people truly needed money, they'd be trying to work, working for food, or at least sitting on a freeway off-ramp with the old "Will do nothing for food" sign.

I wonder ... how much many tax dollars does it take to buy 9-foot Betty Boop cane? And is there anyway I can claim part-ownership and write that off on my taxes? haha

YOU ask the same question as me. Not one more dime of my hard earned money will go to this "relief" effort. AND...the MSM is all over the Mardi Gras like it's the best thing. Yep. Party hearty while you beg for help. MorOns.

No, but if you say you're from Nawlins, the government WILL give you free housing for at least 6 months.

Ogre - I live in a resort area my own self, and you're off base on this.
Look at these people - do you think they are LOCALS? They came to party, and to give the tourist businesses a boost with some actual earned money instead of a handout. Good for them.

So you're saying none of the locals participate in this? I'm not buying that. Sure, the tourists might generate some revenue for the locals, and that's good, but to say that the locals are hard-working people, trying to get by after losing so much? I'm not buying that one.
