School Board Sues State
Am I the only one who sees the complete and total insanity here? The North Carolina School Boards Association (a government entity, 100% paid for by taxpayers) is suing the state of North Carolina (a government entity, 100% paid for by taxpayers) because of a state requirement that people line Jim Black's (Speaker of the State House of Representatives) pockets before they are allowed in school.
So, let's see -- I am forced at gunpoint to pay to file the lawsuit. I am forced at gunpoint to pay the lawyers who do the suing. I am forced at gunpoint to pay for the defense. I am forced at gunpoint to pay for the court costs. Heck, if there's a fine or financial penalty involved, I am forced at gunpoint to pay that AND the lawyer's fees. It's just beyond comprehension. There is a 0% chance that anyone can win here, and a 100% chance that huge piles of taxpayer money will be tossed down the drain. I wish there were somewhere on earth that I could go that had a Constitutional Republic where this sort of utter insanity doesn't happen. Oh, how I long for freedom.
