New Laws for 2006
In case you were of the same opinion of the complete and total idiots, morons, and other assorted freedom haters in the North Carolina General Assembly, you'll be overjoyed to know that North Carolina has 37 new laws that went into effect Jan 1, 2006.
Among the new laws:- Making running a day care business even harder with new "licensing laws."
- Making earning money as a plumber more difficult with new "licensing laws."
- Making earning money as a heating contractor more difficult with new "licensing laws."
- Making credit card insurance more difficult to obtain and use with new "changes."
- Making health insurance even worse with new, higher rates mandated by the state.
- Making health insurance even more expensive by forcing people to cover high risk people against their will.
- At least 28 taxes raised including the gas tax by 5% and cable television tax by 7%.
- Smoking in jail is now prohibited.
- Making health insurance more expensive by adding a new required registry.
- Making insurance more expensive by increasing the fees required by a business who dares to do business in the state.
- Making prescription medicine more expensive by raising the fees paid by pharmacies.
- Making fishing and hunting licenses more expensive.

And don't get me started on jail, Flannel Avenger. I think they should spend their time making big rocks into small rocks and growing their own food -- perhaps even making restitution for what they did. But according to liberals, that's "cruel and unusual punishment."
