Illegals Don't Get Rights

It seems the illegal aliens (yes, I know they really ARE "undocumented workers," but I'm still going to call them what they SHOULD be, which is ILLEGAL aliens) are whining that they don't have all the rights of citizenship, even though they're not citizens.

The buggers this time are demanding that the state of Maryland deliver driver's licenses to their houses, printed in their native language, and delivered by a pretty person of the opposite sex that is also from their homeland and speaks their language.

Well, that's not quite exactly what they're asking for, but it's damn close.

They are complaining that every single person who works for the state of Maryland does not speak their native languages, since they refuse to learn English. They say it's unfair that they have to make appointments with the Maryland driver's license offices.

One person says it's unfair that he's lived in America for 20 years (and is not a citizen), but that he doesn't just automatically get a license and actually has to wait a few months because he refuses to learn to speak English.

Morons.

ALL government business, forms, people, and everything else associated with government should be done in English. If YOU don't speak English, YOU can get your own damn translator. And no, I really don't give a damn about what "government benefits" you don't get because you refuse to learn the language.

2 Actually, the guy complaining has lived in the country legally for the last 20 years. That means he is entitled to some measure of the rights enjoyed by citizens. A drivers license is one of them. But, his foreign-born paperwork still has to be reviewed and the rules still have to be followed. The fact he speaks spanish shouldn't be a problem, since most cities have spanish translators working for each agency (including Baltimore). He just doesn't want to go out of his way to follow the written rules. The real issue isn't that he wants "rights" it is that he wants "special rights", and he shouldn't get "special" privileges just cause he is legal. I don't get them. My mom speaks English poorly and she doesn't get them and she is a citizen. Bah!

Now, had he been illegal, I would say "Off with his head!"

3 You're correct in pointing out that he's really looking for special rights. As a non-citizen, I'm not interested in doing anything for him, including giving him a driver's license. I really cannot understand how he could live and function in this country without being able to speak English for 20 years!

Governments should NOT be required to print anything nor engage in ANY transactions in any language other than English. You want U.S. Government crap, learn English.

8 Ogre, I completely agree with you on this subject. One thing I can't stand is someone illegally coming into the United States and thinking they’re better than everyone. They should have to pay taxes as soon as they step foot on U.S. soil and pay double the amount that U.S. citizens have to pay. I don’t think there should be any other language except English printed on ANYTHING inside the borders of this country. If I had a say so, I would send every f***ing immigrant that isn’t supposed to be here back to they’re native country. If you was not born on U.S. soil, and have not yet been granted citizenship, get the hell out!!!!

9 Hey, now you've got a good idea there. We're constantly told by the elites that growth doesn't pay for itself -- that's why they have to raise taxes when the city border grow. So those who are causing the growth should have to pay for it!

What a great deal that would be for legal citizens! If you enter this country and work here and you're not a citizen, you have to pay twice the highest tax rate of citizens! That would be awesome!

Of course, I'm not sure how you double more than 50%...

11 First, I bet they don't get deported. I bet they were arrested, then released. Second, if you want to control this, why wasn't the employer fined massively? I know in NC it's against the law to hire illegals. Unfortunately, that law is NEVER enforced.
