Free Money in Vance
Do you live in Vance, NC? Would you like $20,000 cash for free? All you have to do is own a house and be unemployed! What a deal.
Seriously. The North Carolina General Assembly appropriated over $2.4 million dollars in the budget that was absolutely cut to the bone with no room for any spending cuts anywhere to give $20,000 to any unemployed person in Vance, NC. They call it the "Home Loan Protection" program. I'm looking for a new program called the "Obey Article I Section I of the North Carolina Constitution:"We hold it to be self-evident that all persons are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, the enjoyment of the fruits of their own labor, and the pursuit of happiness.
I'm not holding my breath because the Democrats in the General Assembly have been laying claim to all the fruits of my own labor for decades.

Hey, Ogre, any time you're ready, Texas will welcome you, plus what have ya got to lose, we have cold beer, good food, BEAUTIFUL women, and we are THE "quintessential" RED STATE! You know, Texas is one of the few states I haven't really been to. I was there once when I was very, very young (an infant), but obviously don't remember it.
I don't know why I haven't been there, I just haven't. Of course, to save Texas, from what I've seen, you'd have to give the southern tip back to Mexico...
