Senators Voting Against Pork
Allard (R-CO), Allen (R-VA), Bayh (D-IN), Burr (R-NC), Coburn (R-OK), Conrad (D-ND), DeMint (R-SC), DeWine (R-OH), Feingold (D-WI), Graham (R-SC), Kyl (R-AZ), Landrieu (D-LA), Sessions (R-AL), Sununu (R-NH), Vitter (R-LA).
That's it. Those 15 out of 100 Senators actually voted against excessive pork spending. Every other one supported pork spending and special projects. Read this interview with the Senator who DARED to suggest the Senate reduce spending. He is targeted, as are the other 14 on this list:And so, Mr. President, when members come down to the floor and vote on this amendment, they need to know if they start stripping out this project, Senator Bond and I are likely to be taking a long, serious look at their projects, to determine whether they should be preserved during our upcoming conference negotiations.
In other words, the Senators who voted for this reduction in pork spending are now targeted by Senator Patty Murray. I think the US Senate is beyond hope of recovery unless Senator Tom Coburn from Oklahoma gets a lot more support. The Wideawakes have more details.

Neither of my states Senators voted correctly.
I also want to say this, the two votes from the Louisiana Senators areL disingenuous (they both want all of the states to switch pork to there states, not get rid of pork)so that leaves a dozen Senators that love this country. The rest can go to hell for all I care, including both Kansas Republican Senators. What a bunch of pompous thiefs.
Thanks for carrying the torch for fiscal sanity.I recently started a blog for the purpose of exposing all politicians.....
Dah, can't remember my url for the new blog, there is a link from Sanity's Bluff....it is Patriotic/Idiotic something like that.
This pork will not stand.

And this is one of those votes where I don't think intentions matter. It was simple and straightforward, and the individuals chose on which side they were going to stand. I'm very happy to be able to say one of my Senators from North Carolina (Richard Burr) actually voted the right way! I think I'm going to send him a cake or something.
