Hyprocrisy at it's Finest
For the last 8 months or so we have been inundated by the Administrations claims that voter ID laws are discriminatory at best and racist at worst...
Yet,on Friday, June 8th, those wishing to attend a book signing event by the First Lady must purchase a copy of the First Lady's book at the location and leave it at the store, according to the employee. At the same time, customers must also submit their
social security number and show an official photo ID (driver's license, passport) to a Secret Service agent, and they will be issued a wristband to the First Lady's event on June 12.( Emphasis added)
So, it's possibly racist to have to show a photo ID to cast a ballot, but not only must you show a photo ID, but you must also give out your Social Security number in order to have the First Lady sign her book for you ?!?
I do understand that there security concerns whenever a political figure makes a public appearance, but these measures seem to be far more than required; and if a figurehead of a stance that considers it "racist" to show ID to vote, yet requires even more stringent requirements just to be able to bask in her presence...well doesn't anyone else see the disconnect here?
