That's one thing the "Progressives" have forgotten; our entire system was founded upon the Morality of a religious people and ONLY a religious people can have such a system operate successfully.

There IS such a thing as "right" and "wrong" and just plain EVIL...the system of situational ethics and blurring of morals inherent in the Progressive way of thinking has done nothing but degrade our way of life.

pResident Obama may claim "we are not a Christian Nation", but that claim only serves to demonstrate his lack of knowledge about the American way of life and American history itself.

The one thing that made America unique in all the world is that we based our system of government on the religious belief that there are certain inherent rights given to ALL of us BY OUR CREATOR, yet without specifying just what form that Creator might take. Over half of the signers of the Declaration of Independence and the formulators of our Constitution were ministers of their chosen faiths...They had varied beliefs, from Agnostic to ultra-orthodox Protestant, but they all believed in some form of a Higher Power and that that Higher Power was the source from which all basic Human Rights flowed.

Ours is the only Constitution based upon this belief in a Higher Being without being specific in the nature of that Being, allowing every one of us our personal belief without fear of retribution by the State. Progressives have done their best to remove that faith from the Body Politic, but haven't yet realized that the core belief of a Supreme Being is the glue that binds our society together. We destroy that bond at our peril, and ultimately, to our own destruction.

I am not a religious man. I don't follow any conventional religious sect..I consider myself a Deist - I believe in a Higher Being, but I do not presume to understand that Being or His methods...As G. Gordon Liddy puts it: "the finite Human mind CANNOT apprehend the Infinite mind of God" Having said that, I do believe that there is such a thing as objective right and wrong and I do believe that there is such a thing as pure evil. I do know from studying American history that that general belief structure was the common ethos of our population at the Founding and that straying from that common ethos has been nothing short of disastrous for our Nation. We need to return to our roots if we have any chance of surviving another twenty years, much less another 233 years.

Those who are satisfied with what they have earned are satisfied people...and if the whole damn country would do their dead level best to take care of themselves and those they are responsible for and not covet their neighbors big screen TV, new car, and job we would not have a president and congress dead set on destroying what opportunity we have left. Yeah, once he spreads the wealth we all will be equal...equally poor.

My site has a lot of unique content I've either written myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement.
