Network Equipment Catfight
My D-Link DSL-302G hates my Netgear RO-318. My Netgear RO-318 is not even speaking to my D-Link DSL-302G.
Which means that right now I only have internet access from this one PC. The pain! The pain! I've re-routed my pixymisa.net emails to the server at work, but I may have lost a few somewhere. So if you emailed me in the last few days and haven't heard back, it's not that I'm cross with you, it's just that your message got eaten by mice.

Ahh, scratch the second one. didn't realize the D-Link equip was a dsl modem, thought it was router/switch or router/router.
One problem I had with my cable modem was that it wouldn't "forget" the MAC address of whatever I had last plugged it into. So when I was trying to swap back and forth between a laptop and an old linux box /firewall, it would just stop working. I ended up having to unplug it for 5 minutes or so to let the memory clear.
